Guide to Disneyland Park

Disneyland Park, like any theme park has good times to visit and then off days to visit. It all depends on what your agenda is. First if you are an annual pass holder, anytime to visit Disneyland Park is a good time. If this is your very first time to Disneyland we recommend going during either the summer season or during christmas time. After January and through the rest of winter and most of spring the park is undergoing major refurbishment to get ready for the summer crowds. This time is Disneylands off time so many of the rides are closed for repair, cleaning, face lifts and things of that nature. Though during the summer season, the park is extreamly crowded. During the summer season you should stay at a hotel or an RV resort near the park for two to three days to get the full experience. Many hotels and RV Resorts actually offer shuttle services to the park. If you want a fun and magical family experience, Christmas is the best time. The entire resort is all decorated for the holidays and the entire resort seems to be even more magical. ALWAYS CHECK THE CALENDER ON DISNEYLAND.COM before your trip. Check the weather on DisneylandDream.com, we have it for three days in advance, or on weather.com they have a 10 day forcast available. Talk with your kids about what they want to do. Disneyland Dream offers videos for every ride and attraction at the park. Find out what rides will be closed during your trip, find out what shows are playing. Also find out what time the park opens and closes. For first timers we recommend arriving at the park by opening time so you do not have to fight the mass crowds in the begining. Get the big rides out of the way first, Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, Indiana Jones and use the Disney Fastpass service. (Our page for Fastpass opening soon) Eat breakfast before arriving at the park, and if you can, make your lunch and bring it or go back to your hotel room for a little rest break. Unlike Walt Disney World were your only choice to eat is inside the parks, Disneyland is surrounded by resturants and food places were you can get cheeper food. But eat one or two meals at the park, the park offers some amazing food from around the United States. The main tip is to plan ahead, Disneyland Dream.com is a great tool to get you ready for your trip with insiders tips, money saving ideas, and time saving ideas. We try to put all you need to know in this website so you do not have to go out and buy a book that really does not help you and takes away from your experience. (Trust us we know we have read them, they remove many of the Disney magic from your tip with there tips.) Always check back to Disneyland Dream.com and see if any changes have happened, and always, always check Disneyland.com just in case, not matter were you get your information, if it is here or in a book, always check just in case.

Disneyland is theme park located in Anaheim, California, USA. It opened on July 17, 1955. The park is owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company. The park consists of various theamed lands: an early 20th century Midwest town, jungle adventures, the western frontier, fantasy, and the future. These areas are named, Main Street USA, Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland. Three additional areas were added to these original park areas later: New Orleans Square, Mickey's Toontown, and Critter Country. An elevated berm supports a three-foot (narrow) gauge railroad which circles the park. Disneyland features rides and attractions designed to appeal to all ages.

The park has been visited by more than 515 million guests since it opened to the public, including presidents, royalty, and other heads of state. In 1998 Disneyland was renamed Disneyland Park in order to distinguish it from the larger Disneyland Resort complex.
